September 9, 2024
Dear Marshall Families,
I hope you are managing to stay relatively cool this weekend. Temperatures are expected to remain in the 90’s at least through the first part of this week. Please remind your students to drink lots of water throughout the day and to take it easy during lunch and after school. We are making adjustments as necessary with PE classes, middle school athletics, and other school activities to deal with the excessive heat. We have had isolated issues with the AC in some buildings, but we are able to move classes into other rooms with AC as needed.
Believe it or not, the end of the first six-week grading period is coming up on September 20. Please encourage students to check PowerSchool and communicate with their teachers about any missing assignments. We want students to learn to advocate for themselves and be active participants in their education.
Once again, I want to ask you to please be patient and drive carefully during morning drop off and afternoon pick up. I know it can be frustrating waiting, especially when it’s hot, but safety is the top priority.
Thanks everyone!
Sincerely,
Stephen Olds, Principal
